Vietnam’s low cost of production and favorable investment environment will be one of the factors that make foreign businesses such as the US, Japan, Korea, China, some European countries… to choose to expand production here. Since then, a number of industries with Vietnam’s strengths such as electronics, textiles, automobile, and motorcycle assembly, etc. will have high demand for the accompanying supporting industries, including high-quality products technical rubber. In order to meet the requirements of foreign enterprises, joint-venture enterprises, etc., it is required to improve technical and production management skills, especially the Quality assurance system must meet international standards such as ISO 9001: 2015, IATF 16949: 2016.
75 Rubber Company Limited (Z175) is one of the first units in the General Department of Military Industries and Manufacture to apply the ISO 9001 Quality assurance system. From 2002 up to now, the Company has always maintained and effectively applied the ISO 9001 system to the operation of the unit. In order to continuously improve the process control capacity, the Company continues to receive the certificate of recognition of the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 international standard physicomechanical laboratory: in 2020, which creates the trust in customers with test results and product quality produced by the Company. With the goal of continuing to improve the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance System, aiming to provide high-tech rubber products to the automobile, motorcycle, electrical, electronic assembly industries, etc.; the Company’s leadership and commanders have aimed to build a Quality assurance system according to IATF 16949: 2016.
IATF 16949: 2016 standard which is the international standard for Quality Assurance System developed on the basis of ISO 9001: 2015 but added stricter and more stringent provisions on quality system management. This standard is based on the basis of 08 Quality assurance principles, 05 core tools and the fulfillment of specific customer requirements, in order to develop a Quality assurance system for continuous improvement, focusing on defect prevention, reducing volatility and waste in the supply chain. This standard requires suppliers to focus on continuous improvement throughout the organization. IATF 16949: 2016 also requires the application unit to strengthen training to improve the capacity and awareness of employees and regulate the responsibility of employees for quality issues. The quality of human resources is covered in detail in such areas as process layout, design and development, process and product monitoring & measurement, and data analysis.
With the goal of passing IATF 16949: 2016 Quality assurance system certification in 2022; 75 Rubber Company Limited (Z175) started organizing training to improve the level of the IATF 16949 Quality assurance system and necessary skills for internal assessment professionals with the guidance of experts from EFFICIENCY CONSULTING COMPANY LIMITED – ECO for short from May 15, 2021. Those will be the core internal experts in evaluating and improving the Company’s Quality assurance system in the coming time.
To achieve IATF 16949: 2016 Quality assurance system certification, 75 Rubber Company Limited (Z175) still has a lot of concerns; however, with the determination of leaders, commanders, and all employees, the company’s goal on producing rubber parts for domestic and export enterprises will only be the matter of time.
